Animal Magic dog grooming was formed in 2010 by myself, Miss Jacqui Turnbull. I also founded my sister company K9 Friends which caters for Dog walking and Home Boarding and has been running very successfully since Feb 2006.

My roots are in the country, where I was born and lived on a farm where my father was a shepherd. Prior to his retirement, we lived in the Cheviot Hills up in the Bowmont Valley, in the Borders. He was a shepherd his whole life, from boyhood up until he retired at the age of 65. He is now 95 and still going strong. (That's what all this walking and fresh air does for you!)

My father David Turnbull bred and trained Collie dogs and was a runner up in the international sheepdog trial in the shepherd’s class many years ago. People came from Scotland, England Ireland and Wales to buy trained dogs and pups from us. I learned a lot about dogs and other animals during my childhood. I spent my days out with my father on the farm as opposed to spending my time on the more expected lady-like pursuits. I had many pets and learned a lot from my mistakes and successes with them.

I have studied canine behaviour and psychology and have recently been trained by a world wide, award winning, champion dog groomer in Scotland’s top grooming school. Subsequently I am now delighted to offer my grooming services to new and old clients alike. As I have been trained to a very high standard, I am confident to groom any breed of dog,  not only to suit the dog and the owners needs, but to breed standard specification if required.
