1. I groom all breeds and sizes of dogs.
2. Grooming includes a bath, blow dry, trim, thin out where necessary, style and shape, nail trim, and ear clean where required.
3. I do Hand stripping if required.
4. The length of time it takes to groom your dog depends on the breed and the condition of the coat. I try to complete a full groom in as little time as possible so that your dog does not get fed up and stressed from being on the table. Most grooms will take a minimum of two to three hours or 4 hours in the event your dog has become severely matted.
5. Old dogs with weak hind legs can have special support equipment on the table. They will be groomed in the most accommodating and sensible way in order to get them groomed and home in as little time as possible.
6. Pick up Service I do not normally offer a pick up and drop off service however in certain circumstances I may decide to do so in order to help the local elderly, disabled or infirm and charge accordingly.
7. Tooth care is best attended to by your vet. If a groomer were to scale your dogs teeth, it would leave the teeth with a roughness only your dog could feel. Scaling scratches the enamel. Therefore a special electric tooth smoothing and polishing tool that only your vet could use, would be needed - best left to your vet.
8. The Cost of grooming your dog greatly depends on the condition of your dog’s coat, the size of the dog and also your requirements. A guide price can be given on consultation with myself, but only when I see your dog in person for the first time can I ascertain the true condition of the coat, the more accurate time and resources required and subsequently the cost. A regularly groomed coat is a lot easierto keep and less expensive.
9. Cats, sorry but I do not groom cats and other small animals at this time.
10. May I stay with my dog while he/she is being groomed. Generally NO. Dogs behave much better on the table if the owner is not there to distract them, which is safer for the dog. Only in certain circumstances may I require and indeed request the owner to stay with a difficult large breed of dog or very elderly / deaf / blind dog who would benefit from the reassurance and presence of its owner. The need to stay must be discussed at the time of booking and will be at my discretion.
